What is Noema?
Noema is an iOS app that plays adaptive sound for whatever you're doing — deep work, sleep, winding down, training. You tap a mood and playback starts immediately, no searching and no playlist to build. Every track is created in real time rather than pulled from a catalog, so a station never repeats and never breaks for ads.
How is this different from a music streaming app?
Streaming apps play pre-existing songs from a catalog you have to browse. Noema starts a station the moment you tap a mood and creates the music as it goes. Nothing to search, nothing to queue, and because the sound is made for the session rather than pulled from a library, it doesn't repeat or interrupt you.
Do I need to write prompts?
No. Our core experience is tap-and-play simply by choosing a mood. However, if you want deeper control, you can use the "Create your own" mode to generate custom music with guided modes, advanced prompts, and even custom lyrics.
How do I write good prompts for Noema's Advanced Mode?
Noema's Advanced Mode works best when you keep your prompt under 250 characters and lyrics under 3000 characters. We've created a free Prompt Formula Guide with a copy-paste template and a downloadable Claude Skill to help you generate optimal prompts in seconds.
How long does it take to generate a track?
Most tracks generate in under a minute. You can see progress in real time directly in the app, and even on your Lock Screen through Live Activities.
Can I use Noema without an account?
Yes. Guest Mode gives you instant mood-based Radio with skip and stop controls.
If you sign in, you unlock custom generation with limited credits and a 2-track library preview. Upgrade to Pro anytime for 20 generations per day and full library access.
Can I share or export the music?
Yes. You can export your generated audio, which comes complete with custom generated artwork and metadata, to save locally or share with friends.
Is the music original?
Yes. All tracks are generated by AI in real time. The app does not stream or use existing copyrighted songs.
Can I use the music in my videos or projects?
Yes. You can use generated tracks for personal or commercial projects, such as videos, podcasts, or presentations. See the Terms of Service for full details.
What does Pro include?
Pro unlocks the full Noema experience:
- Your Frequency — a station tuned to you, reordering a mood around what you finish vs. skip (New)
- 20 generations per day
- Full library access (no 2-track preview limit)
- Priority queue (where available)
- Continued access to advanced iOS integrations like Live Activities and Siri Shortcuts
- Submit tracks for station consideration
There is one Pro tier with two billing options, and the features are identical either way: $4.99/mo billed annually at $59.99 (saves 50%), or $9.99/mo billed monthly.
The annual plan appears in the App Store as Noema Plus Annual. It is the same Pro tier, billed yearly.
How do generation credits work?
Free signed-in accounts start with a limited number of generation credits. Each generation uses one credit. Pro includes 20 generations per day.
Does Noema support Live Activities / Dynamic Island?
Yes. When you generate a track, Noema can show progress and updates on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island using Live Activities.
Does Noema work with Siri?
Yes. You can start a generation using Siri or Apple Shortcuts. Try saying:
“Generate a focus track with Noema.”
What technology powers Noema?
Noema is built natively for iOS in Swift and SwiftUI, backed by a serverless generation and streaming service. It integrates deeply with the Apple ecosystem, supporting App Intents, Siri Shortcuts, and Live Activities for background tracking.
